The US President’s adviser Jake Sullivan called the accusations of Russian President Vladimir Putin “absurd”, DEUTSCHE WELLE reports.
“Nobody attacks Russia. There is a certain absurdity in the idea that Russia is under some kind of military threat from Ukraine or anyone else,” Sullivan told reporters.
According to him, the decision to start a war in Ukraine was the choice of Putin. “Russia stops the war in Ukraine and returns home – the war ends. But if Ukraine stops fighting, and the United States and Coalition cease to help it fight, then Ukraine disappears from the map,” he added.
