US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington does not believe in the mood of Russian President Vladimir Putin for diplomatic interaction with Kyiv. He said this, speaking in the Senate Committee on International Affairs.
“Until now, we have not seen any signs that President Putin is seriously configured for constructive negotiations,” he said.
He noted that the United States accelerates the supply of weapons to Ukraine and that now this process usually takes only 72 hours after receiving a request from Ukraine.
“The territory, which for some few weeks two months ago, considered itself capable of the Russian government, today is firmly belonged to Ukraine,” he stated.
Blinken added that he saw in Kyiv the signs of a life -working city.
“People ate on the street, sat on benches, walked. We saw with our own eyes that the Ukrainians won the battle for Kyiv,” the head of American diplomacy explained.
