The US Supreme Court temporarily suspended the deportation of Venezuelan migrants, which the administration of the American President Donald Trump planned to deport in accordance with the “Law on Foreign Enemies”.
According to Washington Post (WP), representatives of the US Union of Civil Freedoms (ACLU) appealed to the Supreme Court to stop the Trump administration attempt to deport at least 30 Venezuelan migrants.
“The government is ordered not to send a single member of this group in custody from the United States to the further order of the court,” the court ruling said.
Trump’s administration deported gang members to Salvador prisons
The US administration added to the list of “foreign terrorist organizations” “MS-13” and Venezuelan “Tren de Aragua”, which are considered one of the most dangerous criminal groups in Latin America, and also deported a number of gang members in Salvador.
As part of the fight against illegal migration, US President Donald Trump applied the “Law on Foreign Enemies”, which was previously applied only during the war.
