The US Department of State will provide a grant of $ 150,000 to strengthen partnerships between the United States and Armenia, RT reports citing the relevant document.
The text, in particular, notes that the funds will be spent on the implementation of projects that contribute to the “development of interaction” between Washington and Yerevan. Moreover, all programs implemented with this money must contain either some American cultural aspect, or a connection with American experts, organizations and institutions specializing in a particular field.
“This approach will contribute to a deeper understanding of US politics and views,” the grant notes.
The State Department believes that potential recipients of grants can be involved in promoting the common values of the United States and Armenia, as well as strengthening security in the region – among other things, we are talking about the restoration of friendly relations between Armenians and the residents of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
