US send F-35 fighters to Germany to enhance the NATO defense, reports the Hill edition.
“The aircraft were sent to the Schapndhal airbase along with pilots, technology and support staff from the 388th and reserve 419th divisions,” the report says.
Together with F-35 aircraft, the USA also sent eight F-15E to Poland, and six KC-135 Stratotankers went to the Ramstein airbase in Germany.
“Deploying American fighters on Schapangdalel airbase increases NATO’s defenses and strengthens our ability to act together. We are dealing with a dynamic situation, and this deployment is significantly strengthened NATO,” said the Commander of the US Air Force in Europe and Africa Jeff Harrigan.
