The constant dependence of European countries on the USA in security matters does not meet the interests of Europe or Washington. This was announced in an interview with the British media by US Vice President Jay Di Wence.
He noted that friendship between the United States and Europe could continue if the European leaders acted “more independently” in the international arena and listened to the requirements of their voters in relation to illegal migration. European dependence on the United States in security matters is contrary to the interests of the country, according to the US Vice President.
Another issue that European countries need to work on, Wence called security, since almost the entire safety infrastructure of the continent is subsidized by the United States.
“I do not want Europeans to simply do everything that the Americans tell them. I do not think that this is in their interests, and I do not think that it is also in our interests,” said Wence.
Vice -President of the United States noted that he loves European culture and Europeans, however, “tension” between the USA and Europe comes from the leaders of these countries.
, as an example of his argument, Wence defended the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky of an interview with CBS News about the predominance of Russian narratives in Washington. He recalled that he personally condemned Russian attacks.
I believe that this is a kind of absurdity on the part of Zelensky – to tell the American government, which is currently supported by his government and military efforts, that we are somehow on the side of the Russians, ”said Wence.
