The White House supports Turkey’s direct part in negotiations on unlocking grain exports from Ukraine, but at the same time does not feed the illusions regarding Moscow’s position. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the performance of the chief representative of the National Security Council of the White House John Kirby.
The representative of Washington also emphasized that the United States is closely monitoring the negotiations that are held with the participation of Turkey, the Russian Federation and Ukraine in the export of grain. According to Kirby, the White House clearly understands that in the Black Sea there is actually a blockade of Ukrainian ports.
He also added that the United States welcomes the leadership of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the export of grain from Ukraine. In this regard, Kirby also called important the participation of representatives of Ukraine in these negotiations.
