US will allocate $ 35 million to strengthen army

The United States plans to allocate $ 35 million to Georgia to strengthen defense capabilities, the Georgian News Service of the Voice of America reports with reference to the letter received from the US State Department.

“Georgia will receive $ 35 million, which includes a set of equipment for the brigade, a system acting against unmanned aerial vehicles, a tactical data system of advanced field artillery, mobile capabilities and possibilities of cyberborne,” the message said.

It is noted that the State Department has already sent the corresponding letter to the US Congress on April 24. The purpose of the allocated money is to make up the help of NATO allies to fill the armament that they had to transfer to Ukraine at a free basis.
