US President Joe Bayden intends to hold personnel permutations in the ranks of the highest command, in particular, American troops in Europe, the newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

According to her information, the American General Tod Walters is the commander of the European Command of the USA, as well as the NATO Supreme Commander in Europe in Europe will be replaced by Christopher Cavoli, who currently holds the position of the US Army Commander in Europe and Africa. In March, in the Pentagon, they stated that in Europe it is taking into account the temporary deployments of about 100 thousand American servicemen.

In addition, the chapter of the Command of Special Operations of the US Sun (SOCOM) General Richard Clark will change General Brian Fanton, who heads the joint command of special operations of the United States (JSOC) – SOCOM subdivision responsible for the preparation of special forces and conducting individual operations with special forces.

Such permutations, according to the publication, reflect the redirection of the focus of the Pentagon from the Middle Eastern on the Asian direction and more conventional military threats, in particular, the special forces in Fanton can switch to the fight against the rebels to teach foreign military. It is planned that Walters and Clark will retire in 2022, their replacements can take their new posts this summer, but their candidates must approve the US Congress Senate.
