The United States will help the United Arab Emirates to replenish the reserves of interceptor missiles against the background of the frequent attacks by the supporters of the Yemen Movement “Ansar Allah” (Husites). This was reported by Reuters agency with reference to the head of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) of Mackenzie Kennet, who oversees military operations in the Middle East.
“We will help replenish the reserves of interceptors. We will do our best to promote the protection of the UAE,” the TASS quotes the words McKenzi.
According to the agency, the United Arab Emirates in private applied to the United States with a request to replenish the reserves of interceptor missiles for Thaad systems (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) and Patriot SPC. Earlier, the United States announced that the USS Cole Rocket destroyer would be guided in the UAE and a squadron of American F-22 fighters for helping in the fight against the Husitis.
Husites systematically conduct attacks by ballistic missiles and mined drone, the main goal of which until recently remained Saudi Arabia and its infrastructure. But since mid-January, the Husites fired three times the territory of the Emirates, threatening the scale of these attacks, if the UAE does not stop “aggression in Yemen and its blockade.”
