USA again failed a test of a hypersonic rocket

In the USA, new flight tests of the prototype of the hypersonic missile ended in the United States: the problem arose when trying to start, Bloomberg reports with reference to the statement of the US Ministry of Defense.

“The failure occurred after the engine on the prototype,” Tim Gorman quotes TASS as a representative of the American naval forces.

The tests took place in Hawaii, Horman did not report additional details, but added that the Pentagon is still capable of “deploying offensive and defensive hypersonic means” in the planned time. The US Navy assured that experts would conduct an audit and establish what exactly led to failure.

The publication notes that we are talking about testing non -nuclear funds for a sudden attack by CPS (Conventional Prompt Strike). The United States is planned to install this missile on the latest, low-minimal destroyers such as Zumwalt DDG-1000, as well as on submarines like Virginia.

This is the second unsuccessful test of the rocket – the first took place in October 2021 during the first flight tests. Then the rocket could not take off due to the malfunction.
