USA give Lebanon last chance to agree with Israel

US representative Amos Hokhstein, during a conversation with President Lebanon Michel aun, told him that today Beeut would receive the last and final text of the agreement with Israel regarding the operation of naval gas fields, since the “time of discussion has expired”, the Israeli media write.

The Livan government is provided to approve the proposed option or to be left without any agreement – and without the hope of receiving income from its own gas field in the foreseeable future.

at the request of the Aun’s office, the president of Lebanon “carefully study all the details of the agreement” before approving it.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid publicly rejected Lebanese comments on the text of the contract.
