USA launched an unmanned vehicle X-37b into orbit

The US Space Forces sent the X-37B plane in space by Boeing to perform a new mission, which is expected to last at least a few years.

The message on the Space.com website says that the unmanned cosmoplane was sent to space from the Kennedy Space Center in the American state of Florida using the Falcon Heavy heavy rocket produced by SpaceX.

The statement notes that the X-37B space aircraft produced by the American company Boeing was sent into space to perform a new mission, which is expected to last at least a few years. X-37B will conduct scientific experiments in near-Earth orbit.

Earlier, the US Air Force and the later-created space forces carried out 6 space flights on the X-37B.

The first aircraft was sent to space in April 2010 and completed the orbital mission in 224 days.

The second aircraft launched in March 2011 spent 468 days in orbit, the third, sent in December 2012 – 674 days, the fourth, which started in May 2015, is 718 days, and the fifth launched in September 2017 – – 780 days.

Finally, the sixth device launched in May 2020 spent 908 days in orbit, after which he landed at the Kennedy space center in November 2022. This was the most long expedition perfectly unmanned space aircraft.
