Russian oil will not be subjected to price restrictions if it was loaded into tankers until December 5 and unloaded until January 19. This was announced by the Ministry of Finance of the United States on the official website.
“Pricing ceiling” for Russian oil, which the United States and the EU agreed on, will begin to operate simultaneously with the European oil embargo – December 5. All parties before this date can be sold at a market price, but they must be delivered to the end customers no later than January 19, ”the leadership of the American Ministry of Finance said.
The range of maximum prices at which the countries will have to buy Russian oil after January 19 have not yet been determined. Now Washington is reviewing the maximum cost of raw materials from Russia. According to sources, the “ceiling” will raise to $ 63-64 per barrel and announce this by December 5. At the same time, the sanctions of the European Union will come into force, which will limit insurance, brokerage activities and financing of Russian oil supply.
