Coordinator of strategic communications in the National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby called the “terrible” bloody incident in Crocus City Hall near Moscow.
“At the moment, there are no signs that Ukraine or Ukrainians were involved in this attack,” he said at a daily briefing, answering the question of whether this attack had any connection with Ukraine.
Kirby expressed condolences in connection with numerous victims, noting that it is too early to evaluate the incident.
In addition, an American official noted that there are no signs that this attack may be associated with any political motivation within Russia.
Answering the question of whether the United States was known to the incident, when the American embassy in Moscow made a warning about possible security problems, Kirby said that there was no concrete connection between this warning and this attack.
