The National Army of Moldova will receive a party of military assistance from the United States, including 20 HMMWV armored personnel carriers.

The Moldavian Army will also use armored vehicles during international military exercises.
“Given the hot weather, the movement of technology will occur at night when the temperatures are lower and less intense road traffic,” the press service noted.
This party is provided, as part of the modernization of the capabilities of the Army of Moldova on the basis of a bilateral memorandum of cooperation of 1995. Moldova received the first such armored vehicles from the United States back in 2014 – only 43.
HMMWV (reduction from the English. High Mobility Multipope Wheeled Vehicle – “High -Military Multi -purpose Wheel Vehicle”, read “Hamwi”) – an American combined -arms car of increased patency, which is mainly in the USA, as well as armed forces, police officers and other services of some other countries.
The car has high cross -country ability, is suitable for transportation by air and landing in a parachute method, provides installation on board various weapons and equipment.
