In 2025, in Uzbekistan, within the framework of the initiatives “Yashil Makon” and “My Garden” is planned to plant 200 million trees and shrubs.
The corresponding decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Uzbek state media reported.

Particular attention is paid to the landscaping of territories at the bottom of the dried Aral Sea: it is planned to create 100 thousand hectares of “Green Squares”.
As a result, the area of forest stands in the Arals will increase to 2.1 million hectares, and the total area of forests in the country will reach 4.1 million hectares.
In addition, the protected natural territories will occupy 14.5 percent of the territory of Uzbekistan.
In Karakalpakstan, as well as in the Bukhara, Jizak and Kashkadarya regions, gardens with drought and solid plants will be created.
The development of ecotourism, nurseries for growing trees, the cultivation of medicinal plants, as well as measures to increase the income of the population.
