Uzbekistan And China Signed Agreements On Construction Of Wind And Solar Power Plants

Chinese companies will build wind and solar power plants in two regions of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek state media reports.

, in the framework of the finished first Samarkand International Climate Forum, the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan has concluded a number of agreements aimed at promoting the “green” economy.

Among the signed documents is an investment agreement on the construction of a wind station with a capacity of 1000 MW in the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The project was the company Sany Renewables International Investment Co., Ltd.

Another investment agreement is concluded with the China Electrical Equipment International Company Limited.

It provides for the construction of a solar power station with a capacity of 500 MW in the Pharishi district of the Dzhak region.
