Uzbekistan And Georgia Agreed On Further Close Interaction At Government Level

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev adopted a delegation of Georgia, headed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who is in Tashkent on an official visit.

The meeting considered issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, transport, logistics, tourist and cultural spheres, the press service of the head of the Uzbek state reports.

During the conversation, the fruitful results of the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission, which took these days in Tashkent, were highly appreciated.

The importance of taking coordinated measures to maintain the dynamics of trade, ensuring the balance of export and imports, promoting industrial cooperation projects, the effective use of transport and transit potential, as well as the active involvement of the regions of the two countries in the economic cooperation of the regions.

Separate attention is paid to the expansion of partnership and exchanges in the field of digitalization and development of tourist infrastructure.

Co -co -interaction is agreed at the level of the governments of Uzbekistan and Georgia in order to practical implementation of the achieved agreements.

Mirziyoyev also accepted the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Nurlan Ermekbaev, who is in Uzbekistan on a visit.

Actual issues of expanding multilateral partnerships in the framework of this authoritative organization were discussed.

The importance of building practical interaction in the fight against general challenges and threats of stability and security, as well as further deepening cooperation based on the principles of good neighborliness, trust and partnership, is emphasized.

Particular attention is paid to the continuation of the SCOS process running on the Samarkand summit, including increasing the efficiency of all the structures of the association.

The need to implement the concept of the development of a “new economic dialogue” and a number of other initiatives of our country is noted. We are talking about the adoption of an agreement on simplifying trading, e -commerce programs, a set of measures to stimulate investments, digitalization plan in logistics, program “Technology of the Future SCO”, food atlas and others.

The issues of preparing for the upcoming SCO summit in the PRC were also discussed.
