The delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Akmal Kosymov, held a meeting with the deputy director of the Lebniz (IAMO) Institute of Agricultural Development Lenoy Kuin.
The meeting was held in Berlig, where the delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in the international exhibition Green Week 2025, which takes place from January 17 to 26, reports Uzdaily.uz.
The prospects for the further development of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and the development of new directions for partnerships were discussed.
In particular, a detailed overview of large reforms carried out in Uzbekistan was presented to improve the agricultural insurance system.
The possibility of introducing international experience was discussed, including advanced German methods and scientific approaches to IAMO, as well as the application of international indices and indicators in the practice of Uzbekistan.
Particular attention was paid to issues of training for agriculture. As a result of negotiations, an agreement was reached on the creation of conditions for the training of students from Uzbekistan in IAMO, as well as organizing their scientific and practical training and conducting training programs. An important part of the meeting was a discussion of joint scientific projects.
In addition, the emphasis was on the importance of the introduction of innovative technologies, the support of scientific research and the use of international experience for the further development of agriculture in Uzbekistan, which will transfer the industry to a new level.
