The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the chairman of the Hulk Maslahata (the highest representative body) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. This was reported by the press service of the leader of Uzbekistan.
The historical role of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is emphasized in the formation and dynamic development of modern Turkmenistan, an increase in the country’s authority in the international arena, strengthening the Uzbek-Turkenic multifaceted relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnerships.
The progress in two -way cooperation has been achieved in recent years, in particular the growth of trade, the creation of the border trading zone, the implementation of important joint economic and humanitarian programs.
Leaders noted the importance of studying during the upcoming meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission of new projects of cooperation in industry, transport, energy, agriculture, the development of interregional and cultural exchange.
Actual aspects of regional interaction in Central Asia were also considered.
In addition, the head of the Uzbek state congratulated the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, wishing him good health, well -being and great success, as well as peace and prosperity of the fraternal people of Turkmenistan.
