Uzbekistan And UNESCO Are Aimed At Expanding Practical Cooperation Programs

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev accepted in Paris the General Director of the UN for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) Azule.

The issues of further development of productive interaction with this authoritative structure of the UN system, as well as practical aspects of the preparation and conduct of the 43rd session of the Organization General Conference in the city of Samarkand this fall, are discussed from the text. The current highest level of multifaceted partnership was noted with satisfaction.

On the initiative of Uzbekistan, resolutions were adopted on access to information and children’s education.

Uzbekistan has become a member of the International Center for the Save and Restoration of Cultural Values. Bukhara joined the “network of creative cities”. The UNESCO Department is opened at the Silk Road University in Samarkand.

Last year, the implementation of 7 new projects in the fields of education, the culture of digital and innovative technologies began.

UNESCO special lists included Turan deserts and Zarafshan-Karakum corridor, the art of silkworm, ceramics, playing on the shirt and the traditions of Iftar, “Archive of the Chancellery of the Emir Bukhara”, “Turkestan album” and “Photo album of the Khudoybergan Devonov”.

This year, the city of Samarkand will accept the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which for the first time in 40 years will pass outside the headquarters of the organization in Paris and coincides with the 80th anniversary of UNESCO.

CEO Assule highly appreciated fruitful cooperation with Uzbekistan and thanked the president of the country for large -scale preparation for the event.

Agreements have been reached on the expansion of practical cooperation programs and continuing close interaction in organizing forums and events within the framework of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference.
