Uzbekistan And Vietnam Discussed Strengthening And Expansion Of Bilateral Cooperation

In the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan, the first deputy chairman of the Senate Sadik Safoev with a delegation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le THO THU HANG, was held.

The main topic of negotiations was the strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, according to Uzdaily.

During the meeting, Safoev emphasized that Uzbekistan considers Vietnam as one of the key and reliable partners in Southeast Asia.

It is noted that relations between countries have significant potential for development in the political, economic, economic, investment and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Parties paid special attention to organizing mutual visits at the highest and high levels.

The meeting participants focused the importance of activating political dialogue, strengthening inter -parliamentary relations and implementing joint projects aimed at mutual benefits.

The increasing role of parliamentary diplomacy in the development of bilateral relations is emphasized. In this regard, the interest of the leadership of the Vietnam Parliament in the 150th Jubilee Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held in Tashkent from April 5 to 9, 2025, was noted.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed readiness for a further constructive dialogue and support of joint initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

The visit was another step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, which opens up new prospects for the development of mutually beneficial relations in various fields.
