Uzbekistan considers construction and rental of terminals in ports of Georgia

Uzbekistan plans to build and long -term rental of marine terminals, as well as warehouses in the seaps of Georgia. The memorandum of this was signed as part of the visit of the government delegation led by Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov to Georgia.

Memorandum provides for the construction and long -term rental of marine terminals, as well as warehouses in the seaps of Georgia, cooperation in the field of civil aviation, the development of road transport, joint research and the use of innovations in the field of transport and infrastructure.

It is reported that in 2022 the volume of export-import transportation of Uzbekistan through Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi amounted to 864 thousand tons. This figure is 72 percent more than in 2021 (503 thousand tons).
