Early voting in the early elections of the President of Uzbekistan, which are scheduled for July 9, began today, June 28. This was reported in the press service of the CEC of Uzbekistan.
“The voter who cannot be at the place of residence on the election day has the right to vote ahead of schedule,” the CEC specified.
The time of early voting in the polling station is from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 11:00 to 17:00 on weekends and holidays. Earlier it was reported that the inhabitants of Uzbekistan will rest on Kurban-Bayram for five days in a row.
Early voting will end on July 5. In total, 10,784 polling stations were organized for the organization of early presidential elections, including 56 in 39 foreign countries under embassies and other representative offices of the republic, Kun.uz reports.
According to the constituency, a voter who is not able to be at his place of residence on the election day has the right to early voting.
For early voting, the voter on the basis of an application indicating the reason for the absence on the election day (vacation, business trip, travel abroad, etc.) receives a ballot box from the corresponding precinct election commission. In the presence of at least two members of the corresponding precinct commission, the voter signs in the receipt of the ballot in the list of voters.
The ballot box is filled with a voter in a specially equipped cockpit or a secret vote.
The voter makes a decision and leaves the completed ballot balloon in a closed envelope, which is stored in the safe of the relevant precinct election commission. At the place of gluing the envelope, signatures of two members of the precinct commission are placed, which are confirmed by the seal of the commission.
