Uganda became the 145th country with which Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan reports.
A joint community about the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two camps was signed in the city of Campal (Uganda) on January 18.
The document was signed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhrromzhon Ayloev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda Jedge Odongo.
During the conversation, the parties expressed mutual readiness in establishing close cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
The head of the Uganda Foreign Ministry emphasized that the official campal is highly appreciated by the foreign policy of Uzbekistan, the main direction of which is the development and strengthening of friendly, good -neighborly and mutually beneficial relations with the states of Central Asia, as well as the initiative promoted by the President of Uzbekistan at the international level.
The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhromzhon Ayloev, also took part in the ministerial meeting of the non -alignment movement in the city of Campale.
The head of the Uzbek delegation in his speech emphasized the need to organize close interaction as part of the movement on the development of international transport networks and infrastructures, and the improvement of economic and financial systems. The importance of mobilizing efforts to develop initiatives for peaceful resolution of conflicts, strengthening readiness for natural disasters and emergency situations, the fight against climate change and environmental protection.
