Uzbekistan Plans To Introduce “gold Visas” For Foreigners

Since June 1, a simplified procedure for obtaining a residence permit for five years for foreign citizens and stateless persons has been introduced in Uzbekistan. This norm is enshrined in the presidential decree of April 18, reports Gazeta.uz with reference to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic.

To receive the document, the applicant needs to introduce 200 thousand US dollars, as well as 100 thousand dollars for each family member – spouse or spouse, children and parents.

The authorities of the republic expect that in this way they will be able to attract new investments to the country.
