Uzbekistan, together with the Turkic states, plans to create a scientific satellite.
This was announced by the head of the development department of the Aerospace activity of the Uzbekosmos agency Mukhiddin Ibragimov at a press conference in Tashkent, reports Uzdaily.uz. The launch of the satellite is scheduled for mid -2026.
As Ibragimov noted, the project does not suggest that the device will be completely Uzbek, however, local scientists are engaged in the development of one of its parts.
The purpose of the project is to develop skills in the development, assembly, launch and management of satellites.
Earlier, in 2023, Ibragimov reported the project of the Cubesat scientific and educational satellite, for the tests of which it was proposed to use the UAE base.
