Venezuela and Nicaragua expressed support to Government of Russian Federation

The authorities of Venezuela and Nicaragua condemned the attempt of an armed rebellion from the head of the Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin and expressed support to the Russian government.

The statement of the press service of the Venezuela Foreign Ministry expresses solidarity with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

“The Venezuela government decisively condemns the armed rebellion of the founder of Wagner Evgeny Prigozhin against the Russian Federation with terrorist methods,” the document says.

Venezuela rejects a violation of international law and any acts of violence. Any unconstitutional change of government and an armed uprising will damage the world and stability in Russia, emphasized in the statement.

The statement notes that President Nicholas Maduro expressed support to Vladimir Putin and expressed solidarity with the Russian people in the face of an attack on democracy.

Wagner’s PMCs, President Nicaragua Daniel Ortega, also expressed support and solidarity with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
