“Venezuela categorically rejects Paraguay’s statements. It regrets that the governments like a paragraph continue to subordinate their foreign policy to the interests of foreign powers. Venezuela decided to break off diplomatic relations with paragraph and immediately withdraw his diplomatic personnel accredited in this country, ”said Venezuela Foreign Minister Ivan Khil in his message published in Telegram Channel.
In turn, the Paraguay government also announced the termination of diplomatic relations with Venezuela.
The Paraguayan authorities demanded that Venezuela’s ambassador in AsunSion and the diplomatic mission leave the country within 48 hours.
“Paraguay confirms its unconditional support for the right of the Venezuelan people to live in conditions of democracy, in a state based on the rule of law, with the absolute respect of its basic freedoms and guarantees,” the report said.
Earlier, President of Paraguay Santiago Penny in a telephone conversation with Gonzalem expressed support for his country and said that he sees him the winner of the Venezuela elections.
Maduro won the Venezuela elections for the third time
According to the results announced by the National Electoral Council on July 29, 2024, Nicholas Maduro won the presidential election for the third time, gaining 51.20 percent of the vote.
His main rival, candidate from the opposition coalition Gonzalez and opposition leader Maria Korina Machado rejected the election results.
Gonzalez and his wife flew out of Karakas to Madrid on a Span Air Force aircraft on September 8 after the warrant was issued to his arrest.
