The chairman of the Venezuela National Assembly, Horghe Rodriguez, said that the country has completed all preparations for the return of Venezuelan migrants whom the United States plan to deport, but the American side does not provide the necessary assistance.
Speaking at the Presidential Palace of Miraflores in Karakas, Rodriguez accused the US State Department of blocking repatriation flights and creating obstacles in this process.
“We are completely ready, it remains only to provide the necessary coordination,” he stressed.
Rodriguez also raised the issue of Venezuelans sent to the United States to Megatyumm in Salvador on charges of relations with criminal groups. According to him, the Venezuela authorities have already addressed the leading American law firms specializing in migration law to protect the detainees.
“We will do our best to achieve their liberation,” Rodriguez assured.
In addition, he criticized the leadership of Salvador, saying: “How is it possible that President Nayib Bukhele admits the abduction of young people who have not committed crimes either in the USA or Venezuela, and at the same time requires money for this?”
Earlier, the US President Donald Trump’s presidential administration activated the extraordinary powers used mainly in wartime to accelerate the deportation of migrants suspected of belonging to the Venezuelan criminal group “Tren de Aragua”, which Washington recognized the “foreign terrorist organization”.
Despite the decision of the federal court on the suspension of deportations, the American authorities sent hundreds of illegal migrants to Salvador, who are suspected of ties with this group.
