Venezuela Tightens Responsibility For Supporting Sanctions Against Country

Venezuela National Assembly adopted a new law providing for a prison opinion for a period of 25 to 30 years for persons who promote or support foreign sanctions against the country.

In addition, the law provides for a lifelong ban on the occupation of government posts and political activities (up to 60 years) for actions such as calls for armed attacks on state institutions, participation in cyber attacks, provoking the riots or their support.

Foreign citizens living in Venezuela are subject to deportation with property confiscation.

for violation of the law.
