Afghanistan Vice-President Ambulla Saleh, who had previously called for the Taliban resistance, said that he would not agree to surrender or swear to them on loyalty, reports La Monde.
“Our political goal is to allow the Afghan people to speak out about the nature and type of state. We are ready to negotiate on this topic. But if we are asked to swear to loyalty or surrender, we will not do this,” Saleh said.
He again noted that by law now he is the head of the country.
“We have legitimacy … The power obtained by force does not give legitimacy,” Saleh added.
Earlier, Amrulla Saleh said that, unlike the fizz, Ashrafa Gani’s running president remained in the country and, according to the Constitution, is a temporary head of state. He also spoke to the resistance to the “Taliban” movement.
