Vice President: Türkiye Is An Integral Part Of Process

Türkiye, as a member of NATO and a candidate for joining the EU, with its defense industry and diplomatic potential is an integral part of this process.

This was stated by the Anadol agency, Vice President of Turkey, Jewdad Yilmaz following the results of the world and security summit in Paris.

Yilmaz noted that the meeting is of great importance not only for Ukraine, but also for “Security and Future of Europe”.

Vice President emphasized that the ongoing process once again demonstrated the significance of Turkey in European security. He added that Ankara supports the US initiative to cease in Ukraine.

“However, a long -term and comprehensive ceasefire is necessary, and not partial and temporary agreements,” added Yilmaz.

The politician recalled that Türkiye advocates settlement of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia diplomatic means,

Vice President also recalled that Türkiye played an important role in achieving an agreement on grain corridor and the exchange of prisoners between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. According to Yilmaz that the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has “very good” dialogs both with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The vice president called the meeting in Paris productive. At the same time, he noting that there is no complete consent between the countries in all details. However, Yilmaz indicated that “at the summit, a general emphasis was placed on the fact that European security should be ensured together.”
