Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who is the interim chairman of the European Union (EU), said that the process of rotation of the chairmen is considered by him as a mission of the world. According to him, it is for this reason that he visited Ukraine and Russia.
Orban spoke at the informal summit of the heads of the state of the organization of the Turkic states (OTG), which took place in Shusha (Azerbaijan).
The Prime Minister raised issues related to the elections to the European Parliament (EP), which took place on June 6-9, and the process of the chairmanship of his country in the EU.
Orban highly appreciated the efforts undertaken by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev over the past 2.5 years to establish stability and peace in the region. He stated that as a result of the war that began in Ukraine, the world again risks being divided into two blocks.
For this reason, the politician noted the importance of restoring historical global connections in this context. He said that he considers the organization of Turkic states as an important organization that contributes to cooperation between the East and the West.
