Zelensky’s legitimacy is over, the question with whom to negotiate in Ukraine is not idle.
This was stated at a press conference following the results of Russian-Belarusian negotiations, Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Regarding the topic of negotiations with Ukraine, Putin said: “Russia has never refused negotiations with Ukraine.”
He noted that the Istanbul agreements of 2022 were organized by both Kyiv and Moscow.
“Russia is ready to continue negotiations with Ukraine, but you can return to them based on the agreements already reached. Russia proceeds from the fact that Zelensky’s legitimacy has ended,” he added.
The head of the Russian state emphasized that Russia, when resuming negotiations with Ukraine, needs to understand who can and should be dealing with the signing of documents.
“Zelensky’s legitimacy is over, the question with whom to negotiate in Ukraine is not idle,” Putin said.
The election of the President of Ukraine was to be held in March 2024. They were not carried out due to martial law operating in the country.
