Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting in the Kremlin with the Supreme Mufti of Russia Talgat Tajuddin expressed gratitude for the contribution of religious leaders to interfaith unity and consent of the peoples of the country.
“I would like to express the words of gratitude to both you personally and all the representatives of Islam, – the head of state turned, for the contribution that you and other spiritual leaders make to interfaith unity and consent of the peoples of the Russian Federation.”
He noted that the Russian Federation becomes stronger on the basis of its diversity, when it encounters various difficulties, and Muslims are a natural part of the country.
“All people who profess Islam are an organic, natural part of Russia, Russian society,” the head of state noted.

Putin also noted the courage of the adherents of Islam, fighting in the Zone “Swo”.
“representatives of Islam have always made and now make a very noticeable contribution to this unity and to our common force, which so effectively counteracts all difficulties and threats and provides Russia with forward movement,” the president concluded.
