The Chairman of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Lyeen in an interview with The Washington Post reported that the decision that she would again nominate the candidate for the post of head of the EC, she will accept closer to the end of this year.
“I will decide by the end of the year,” answered von der Lyien to the question of intention to nominate her candidacy for this post again.
amid rumors that von der Lyan can become the next NATO Secretary General, the publication correspondent also asked what work she would prefer: in the European Commission or in NATO.
“I sincerely – I was born in Europe. My first feeling of the house is connected with Europe, and I think that it is definitely captured in my memory, because my parents were passionate Europeans,” said the chairman of the EC.
