VTB plans to leave the Banking Market of Georgia, the presence in the remaining countries will remain, the Bank of the Board of the Bank Andrei Kostin said in an interview with Interfax.
“We, with the exception of one single case, do not sell anywhere (subsidiaries), nowhere. We have a fundamental position, we are all left everywhere. We leave only from Georgia, but there is a slightly different situation. And in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarusian , Kazakhstan, China, India, we remain and are promoting the issue of interaction with national banks, with local banks in order to be a key bank in bilateral trade in national currencies, ”he said.
According to him, VTB sees prospects for its business in these countries.
