Against the backdrop of an exacerbation of the war in Ukraine, US industry is building up the production of Himars of the Himars, the American newspaper Politico.
Lockheed Martin plans to increase the production of Himars, “since Russia continues to sow instability in the region,” the newspaper writes.
The company is ready to increase the production of Himars to 96 launchers per year compared to the current level of 60 launchers, the general director Jim Tyklet told investors.
Lockheed Martin is also considering the possibility of expanding his enterprise in Camden, Arkansas, since demand continues to grow, he added.
“20 Himars, sent to Ukraine of the United States since the summer, had a huge impact on the battlefield, allowing Ukrainian forces to penetrate dozens of miles for the line of the front of Russia in the Donbass and around Kherson,” writes Politico.
