NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg insists that allies in alliance can continue to supply weapons to Ukraine as much as necessary. It is reported by Politico.
Stoltenberg emphasized that the war in Ukraine will be long -term.
According to him, NATO allies have a “political and moral obligation” not to stop the supply of weapons.
“We must supply modern weapons, heavy weapons, as NATO allies did for a long time, and NATO should play a certain role in providing support,” Stoltenberg emphasized.
He emphasized that the war in Ukraine actually began back in 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea and supported militants in eastern Ukraine.
