Poland, which refused to transfer to Ukraine its Soviet production fighters MiG-29 directly, sent spare parts for these aircraft to Kyiv. This was reported by the Polish portal ONET with reference to sources.
According to the publication, Ukraine was transferred to almost the entire Polish supply of spare parts and weapons for these fighters, which should allow the Ukrainian side to restore the aircraft that it already has. Former Polish Air Force commander General Tomash the Ancientian told the publication that “planes really did not get to Ukraine, but they could get spare parts and weapons.”
In early March, it became known that the MiG-29 aircraft in service with the Poland Air Force will not be sent to Ukraine, as previously announced.
