The head of the US Air Force Frank Kendall said that Washington and Beijing took the race for creating better hypersonic weapons, reports Reuters.
“There is a racing of arms, it is not necessary to talk about more, and about better quality. This arms race is already for quite a long time. China participates in it very actively,” said Kendall.
According to him, due to the war in Afghanistan, the United States missed the initiative in the development of hypersonic weapons.
