Washington: Protests Were Held Against Influence Of Ilon Mask On Government

Hundreds of people, including members of the US Congress from the Democratic Party, gathered in front of the Ministry of Finance. Protesters opposed the influence of the American businessman and the head of the Department of Efficiency of Public Administration (DOGE) Ilona Mask to the government.

The protest broke out after Doge gained access to data from payment systems.

In the crowd chanting “Elon Musk must leave!”, Senators-democrats also attended.

Some participants held posters with inscriptions: “No Trump, there is no mask, no fascist America!”, “Musk owns Trump” and “Remove your hands from personal data.”

“We cannot let Ilon Mask and a narrow circle of faces behind closed doors decide the fate of our data, money and everything that belongs to us,” said the leader of the democratic minority in the Senate Chuck Schumer.

Meanwhile, Senator Chris van Hollen called the current situation “the most corrupt deal in the history of the United States.”

“Musk has invested millions into Trump’s election campaign, and now he got the keys to our government. He comes to the Ministry of Finance and steals the numbers of social insurance and personal data. We will allow this?” He asked.

Earlier, the US Department of Finance became a defendant on a lawsuit filed by the International Union of Service Workers (SEIU), an alliance of American pensioners (ARA) and the Federation of American civil servants (AFGE). The plaintiffs demanded to cancel the decision to provide DOGE access to payment data.

The Ministry of Finance, in turn, said that DOGE employees will only receive a “reading” of data of payment systems without the ability to make changes.
