The World Bank will assess the damage caused by the undermining of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. This was announced on his page on Twitter by the managing director of the WB on Operational Activities Anna Bjerde.
“The destruction of the Kakhovsky hydroelectric power station has many very serious consequences for the provision of basic services, as well as for the environment as a whole. The World Bank will support Ukraine by conducting an express estimate of the consequences of undermining,” she wrote.
Bjerde noted that the assessment will be carried out on the basis of the results of recent studies of the WB on the situation in Ukraine.
