Israeli intelligence “Mossad” is ready to conduct operations against Iran, if necessary, in the name of protecting the interests of the country, despite the fact that the West may soon agree with Tehran to resume a joint comprehensive action plan (SVPD) under the Iranian nuclear program, said the director of Israeli intelligence David Barnea, quoted by The Jerusalem Post.
“Israel did not sign an agreement. Israel can protect itself in any possible way – and it will do so. We cannot sit quietly and just observe how the danger is approaching,” Barnea said.
According to Barnea, regardless of the desire of the United States and Iran to resume the work of the SVPD, Tehran, he believes, still wants to get nuclear weapons.
On Wednesday, Iran confirmed the receipt of Washington’s response to the SVPD proposal. At the same time, the representative of the US National Security Council John Kirby said that Iran refused some key requirements.
