“Last week, the number of Covid -19 deaths has become the smallest since March 2020. We have not yet been in the best position to end pandemia. We have not yet reached this goal, but the end is already close,” the head said WHO
Goebreesus compared humanity with a marathon, who collects the last forces and begins to run faster, seeing the finish line. “We must do this too. We see a finish line. Now is the most inopportune time to stop running,” he emphasized.
In this regard, the Director General called on all states to invest in vaccination of the most at risk of groups, including health workers and the elderly. According to him, this is a priority task on the way to achieve the set of the goal is to vaccinate at least 70% of the population in each country.
