The head of the World Health Organization Tedros Adkhan Goebreesus said that due to China, the indicators of mortality from coronavirus are underestimated.
He indicated that last week WHO reported almost 11,500 cases of death, 40% of which was recorded in North and South America, 30% in Europe and 30% in the western part of the Pacific Ocean.
“This number is surely underestimated, given the underestimated data on the deaths associated with the Covid -19 in China,” said Goebreesus quoted by the Russian media.
GLVA WHO also urged all countries to share statistical data for joint fighting with pandemia.
The head of the WHO program for emergency situations Mike Ryan noted that the mortality rate from the Covid-19, transferred from China, “far from real numbers.”
