The end of the year, which means time to summarize. Today we decided to take stock in the field of education and find out what has changed in 2022 and how it distinguished itself from the previous year for students and employees of this sphere. Also in the 2021-2022 academic year, important reforms in the field of education occurred.
So, let’s start:
– by decree of the President of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education was renamed the Ministry of Science and Education, a number of Nana institutions were transferred to the ministry, it is planned to create 2 new agencies under the Ministry.
– training began in the agiles of the Zangilalan district, which was released from the occupation of the rural school.
– Certification of 11 211 teachers took place, which was successfully passed by 8,751 teachers. Salary 3 127 teachers increased by 35%, 5,624 teachers – by 10%.
– according to the results of competitions held in 2022 as part of the “State Program for Teaching Youth in Prestigious Universities of Foreign countries for 2022-2026”, 353 people received the right to study at 111 universities of 18 countries (80- in terms of bachelor’s degree, 273 students – according to the degree of the master).
– an electronic reception was carried out in preschool educational institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Science and Education, more than 20,000 children were registered in kindergartens.
– a set of educators-pedagogues in preschool educational institutions was carried out centrally.
– the work of 12 regional departments under the Ministry of Science and Education was created and the beginning.
– In the 2022-2023 academic year, 48,780 people received the title of student. This is 11.3 percent more than in the last academic year, when the indicator was 43,828 people.
– a total of 4,331 educational institutions in the country gained access to the Azerbaijani educational network (ATN) and the Internet. Last year, this number was 3,790 educational institutions.
– until the end of the 2022-2023 academic year, it is planned to distribute an additional 43,350 computers to schools. In 2021 calendar year 20,000 computers were distributed.
– Azerbaijani schoolchildren won a total of 72 medals at international olympiads and competitions. In 2021, the number of medals was 55.
– In 2022, the project “Digital skills” covered 300,000 students in 418 schools located in 48 cities and areas of the country. Last year, the project covered more than 190,000 students in 250 schools.
– In 2022, the Steam project covered 318 secondary schools and 19 Steam centers. In total, about 135,000 students are involved in the Steam Education. In 2021, the project covered 302 educational institutions and 10 Steam centers. In total, about 91,000 students were involved in the Steam Education. Also for the first time, the Steam festival was organized at the international level.
– in 2022 calendar year, 13,280 vacancies for the position of teachers were announced. Last year, this indicator was 12,154 vacancies.
– 1,098 members of the families of the Shahids, military personnel, veterans and participants in the war are provided with work in institutions of the Ministry of Science and Education.
