The big seven wants to prevent Russia from receiving a superprofit from the sale of oil. Foreign Ministers G7 argue that for this country they are ready to consider all options, including the introduction of a complete ban on the transportation of Russian oil. A message about this is published on the website of the Government of Great Britain.
G7 continues to study the ways of influence on Moscow. In particular, countries consider the possibility of establishing a “price ceiling” on Russian oil. In the event that someone bought fuel from Russia at a high price, countries consider the prohibition on the transportation of “expensive” oil. Thus, the countries of the Great Seven want to deprive Moscow superprofits, which it receives due to high prices for energy carriers.
In addition, the G7 develops ways to access oil from the Russian Federation for countries that depend on these resources.
Against the background of the war of Russia and Ukraine, the large seven continues to work in this direction, but it is still unclear how and when they plan to carry out the plan. Now all projects are only theoretical.
